In a 3-day match, the toss is made before the scheduled start but it rains and there is no play on the first day. on the second day Team A make 242 in their first innings. How many runs must Team B score to avoid the possibility of being required to follow on?

i got 143! as first day ruled out match becomes a 2 day match for the follow on rule and thus its within 100 runs

Notchers 2:

The striker plays the ball a second time in defence of his wicket. A fielder throws the ball at the wicket; the ball misses and goes on to cross the boundary. How many runs should be added to the total?
